Conscious Grieving: Turning Loss into Light
Rev. Terri Daniel, MA, CT, author of Turning the Corner on Grief Street and other titles
Original Date: Thursday, September 13th, 2018
If you are mourning a loss of any kind, and want to acquire new spiritual tools for working through pain and stagnation, please join us for this unique presentation. You’ll become familiar with multi-cultural customs and mystical healing tools that exist at the intersection of spirituality and psychology, with a focus on contributions from Buddhism, Shamanism and ancient Pagan traditions. We will explore how the symbolic elements of ritual can assist with the release of emotional pain, and the evening will conclude with a heart-healing ceremony to mark our acceptance of impermanence and our innate ability to transform pain into power.
REV. TERRI DANIEL, MA, CT is a hospice and hospital-trained clinical chaplain certified in death, dying and bereavement by the Association of Death Education and Counseling. The workshops she conducts throughout the U.S. help the dying and the bereaved discover a more spiritually-spacious understanding of death and beyond through meditative, ceremonial and therapeutic processes that focus on inner transformation rather than external events. Her work is acclaimed by physicians, hospice workers, grief counselors and clergy for its pinpoint clarity on the process of dying and grieving, and its heartfelt depiction of consciousness beyond the physical body.
