Dorena Rode, Ph.D., Author of Developing Awareness
Original Date: Thursday, April 20, 2017
Join local author, Dorena Rode, as she talks about and reads from her latest book: Developing Awareness. Despite being severely abused as a child, repressing all the memories of that abuse, and moving into adulthood being numbed out and dissociated, Dorena has been able to free herself of constant fear and depression. In Developing Awareness, she uses personal stories to illustrate her process of developing awareness, questioning the modus operandi and learning to trust her own knowing. In this evening talk she will discuss how the tools presented in the book can be used to eliminate unpleasant mental states like anxiety and depression. Come, enjoy fun stories from the book, and get your book copy signed. "Anyone can develop awareness and uncover greater knowing regardless of their initial capacity."
