What is the mystery behind mysticism? In an accessible one-hour presentation, Marc Deprey will introduce you to a mystic and showcase the reality behind the mystery. In his recently published book, The Realm of the Wise: Finding Your Wise Guide, Deprey takes the reader on a step-by-step journey using imagery and metaphor to reveal a perspective that exists beyond the happenstance of one's conditioning. Deprey will also introduce the "Wise Guide Experience," a day-long seminar on how to break through the denseness of thought and habit and how to re-establish a connection to a long buried innate source of infinite wisdom and insight.

Marc Deprey is a published poet, music composer, filmmaker, author, and jazz musician. He has taught at the Esalen Institute and the Redwood Men's Center. His teachers include his mentor, Jungian analyst and author, Robert Johnson, Eckhart Tolle, Rupert Spira, David Schiffman, Michael Singer, and Neoplatonist, Brian Hines. Beginning as a United States Senate aide and then founding several educational and instructional media companies, Deprey is now Executive Director of the Golden State Land Conservancy. The Realm of the Wise: Finding Your Wise Guide is Deprey's first book, although he has published many essays on politics, history, spirituality, and child development. Deprey is also the Media Coordinator for the Attachment and Trauma Network, an international network of parents of children who experienced early childhood trauma. He has several films on YouTube with all elements created by Deprey, including original music. His music is also showcased on SoundCloud under the name "Wise Guide Experience."
