Suggested Donation: $5

Join authors Regina Sara Ryan and Shinay Tredeau for a lively consideration of the roots of "never good enough." This subtext, so common for both men and women, undermines our dreams and goals, our work, our relationships, our accomplishments (or lack of them) and our spiritual progress. The invitation is to acknowledge the lie, to bring humor and gentleness to this longstanding habit, and even to celebrate the sense of "never enough" as an indicator of our spiritual longing.

Regina and Shinay are coauthors of the recently published book, Women Challenge the Lie: 8 Radical Moves to Get Beyond "Never Good Enough" (Hohm Press, 2017). Regina is a freelance editor and writing coach, and author of many books in the fields of holistic health and spirituality. Shinay is a dancer, a yoga instructor, a professional cook and a poet.

NOTE: The Thursday talk is an introduction to a Saturday, Oct. 7 workshop of the same name. The Saturday program for women will be an opportunity to share the good company of women of all ages. In conversation, and with movement, dance, writing, meditation, we will explore useful strategies to unmask the lie and remember the truth of who we are. Lunch will be a Vegetarian Potuck. Bring a dish to share. Register to receive directions to Tayu House outside Sebastopol.
