Ayin Weaver (known to her friends as Nina) is the original medical illustrator of the book Our Bodies, Ourselves, a former medical artist at UCSF and a painter and sculptor for 40 years. She came to the craft of writing as a public school teacher and curriculum writer, receiving a small grant for developing a creative arts writing curriculum for youth with learning disabilities.
