Poet and Many Rivers manager Jim Wilson will be reading from his collection of Haiku, Pine and Pond, and also reading some of his favorite Nature Poetry both ancient and modern. The readings will be interspersed with open discussion about the role of Nature in Spirituality and what we can learn from the realm of Nature.
Jim Wilson's interest in poetry grew out of a fascination with the Japanese form known as Renga. He published the first English language magazine dedicated to that form. His poetry has appeared in "The Narrow Road to Renga", "The San Francisco Haiku Anthology", and various poetry magazines. His poetry is rooted in 35 years of meditative practice.
