Poets have often used the sonnet to communicate their deepest insights. This has been true for the sonnet's entire history; right down to the present day here in Sebastopol. Sebastopol Sonnets will be an evening of sharing Sonnets composed by local poets. Come and hear how Sebastopol residents have used this intimate, lyrical, and attractive form of poetry. The Sonnets, by a variety of local authors, will be read by Jim Wilson, a local poet and sometime Sonneteer. Come and hear how Sebastopol residents have used this intimate, lyrical, and attractive form of poetry.

Jim Wilson, one of the founders of Many Rivers, is a poet, a former Buddhist Monk and Prison Chaplain. He is currently a member of the local Quaker Meeting. His poetry blog can be found at www.shapingwords.blogspot.com
